2 Foliat Cottage

up to 6 people

*New for 2025* - Bookings available from 28 February 2025 - further photos to follow

2 Foliat Cottage was renovated at the same time as 1 Foliat Cottage and, for over 25 years, was a holiday cottage until it became a family home for 6 years. In 2025 it is again a holiday cottage available to accommodate up to 6 guests in comfort. Nestled on our family farm, our guests can relax and enjoy the wonderful views across our patchwork fields, complete with our pure white Charolais cows and their calves during the summer months. Originally built for the Whipper-In for the Rufford Hunt in 1901, the cottage offers plenty of room to relax in the peace and quiet of family farm.

Wellow is the archetypal English village, with 18th century brick and pantile cottages nestling round the village green with its painted maypole 60 feet high. For more information visit wellow.me In fact children dance around the maypole and the Wellow May Queen is crowned on the late Spring Bank Holiday at the end of May each year. The village has a traditional pub (The Olde Red Lion) and a restaurant and Bar (The Maypole at Wellow), whilst riding stables and an 18 hole golf course are close by.
